Overview Equity & Opportunity (E&O) will support you in developing core knowledge and skills to advance educational equity and opportunity in diverse contexts across the United States and around the globe. The 2-credit “Identity in Context” course will immerse you in academically and personally rigorous inquiry about one of the following dimensions of social identity: race and ethnicity, gender and sexuality, class, language, dis/ability, or citizenship and nationality. “Identity in Context” courses will meet over 7 sessions in August. This summer you will be invited to indicate your topic preferences for the “E&O: Identity in Context” course. We encourage you to prioritize areas of study that are relatively new to you—academically, experientially, or both. More information will be provided later this spring to help you determine your preferences.
