Academic Advising Report

The Ed.M. Academic Advising Report (AAR) makes it easy for both you as students and your advisors to see whether you are on track to complete your degree, program, and concentration requirements. Please note that the new tool remains in a pilot format and should be used only in collaboration with your advisor or program and concentration staff. Final determination of graduation requirements completion is granted by the Office of the Registrar.

What is the AAR?

The Academic Advising Report (AAR) is a tool that aggregates all HGSE Ed.M. requirements (including program, tracks, and concentration requirements) in one place to facilitate transparency in advising and course selection, and to report on student progress towards degree.

You can use the AAR to:

  • Support advising conversations: Students, ADs, staff, and advisors may view the AAR web version or print a pdf of the AAR report to bring to advising meetings.
  • Verify degrees: In addition to academic advising, the AAR can be used to support degree verification, also known as a degree audit. The AAR will display all HGSE Ed.M. requirements with a status of satisfied, not satisfied, or (in exceptional cases) waived.
